Rail Journey

Your Song Now

Well I am taking an ACC course, Stellar Astronomy, because I took the wrong science class this summer. (Seriously though? I aced a college Geology class. You can't give me any credit for it?) But the upside is that I get to go downtown twice a week for my class, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have memorized the course and I still enjoy the view, from both sides. It is truly beautiful, a kind of beauty that gets better every time. I want ed to share.

I wish I had brought my bike- it makes for a much quicker trip.

An Austinite.

This is a park that we cut through. If there are ever any kids there they run up to the fences and try to squish their faces through them.

This is one of my favorite things to do although I did not get very many pictures of it. Looking into these people's backyards. Most of them have either chain fences or really low wooden ones like this. I feel as if I am peeking into their lives.
This is Travis Engines. It always reminds me of my friend Travis.

I LOVE that rusted green jeep.

The most adorable light blue Chevrolet truck I get to see everyday.

This is straight up East Austin that I go through.

I am slightly disappointed, do you see those small portraits at the bottom? I just missed my two favorite ones: Tupac Shakur and Megan Fox.

  2. You have no idea how excited your comment just made me. I mean you are my second comment, the other one was my sister telling me that I am weird. I am trying to play it off cool but I am too psyched up. But yes, I remember the very first time I rode the Rail (last summer on my way home from downtown, I was alone) I felt like I was in a dream. It is a truly magical experience especially with the correct musical accompaniment.
